I wanted Amealia Earhart because she was the frist women to fly across the atlandtic but mostly she spoke for womwens righs and she told people that women can do what men can do.

Everybody all over the world knew who Amelia Earhart was in 1932. When Amelia Earhart became famous everybody went crazy over her.  Without Amelia Earhart someone else would be the first women to fly across the sea.

Amelia Earhart was born on July 24, 1897, in Atchison, Kansas.  She wasn’t like other girls, she was a tomboy.  Also she loved roller coasters she loved when the wind was in her face and the rush of excitement.

When Amelia grew up she became a nurse in World War II.  Then when Amelia wanted to become a pilot when she went to an air show, she saw those airplanes and she knew she had to fly.  So she asked the pilot (Neta Snook) to teach her.  Neta said yes but Amelia had to pay Neta.  Amelia would say “no pay, no fly, no work, no pay”.

In April 1928 Amelia got a phone call by Captain Hilton Railey asking if she wanted to fly across the Atlantic Ocean. She totally accepted.  He said the plane she would be flying is called the “friendship”. On June 17, 1928 they left from newfound land and went off on the friendship.  But it was very cloudy and the radio good.  But a man on a boat asked them where they where from Amelia said “we come from America” and he said “well welcome to burry port Wales” they made it!

But when it comes to marriage she was plain hard to get.  She thought that wives (back then) were like robots.  She even turned down her future husband G.P. Putnam 6 times before they got married.  The got married in 1931

One day she wanted to fly all around the world so she made that dream a reality.  She went to North America, South America, Africa, Asia, and Australia.  With the help of her friend Fred (who was also a pilot too).

As soon they were up flying again the radio was scratchy and the plane was running out of fuel.  Also Amelia was feeling sick so they saw an island and were going to land.  The plane was running out of more fuel and it disappeared before they landed on the island.  The problem was so huge the army sent out 9 navy ships and 60 planes.  Airplanes surveyed all over the island but nothing was found, well almost nothing. One plane was spotted on Gardner Island but no Amelia.  Amelia was so famous that her mystery could never be forgotten.  No one knows where she is or where she was. It’s a mystery for sure but she was a brave woman that show women can do anything that men can do.
