Maya Angelou was born on April 4, 1928. She hasn’t died yet. She is a poet singer and poet. Angelou had a hard life.

She moved to her mom’s grandparents over and over again.  Her biography says that her mothers boyfriend killed her uncles and she didn’t say a word for nearly six years. She spent most of her teen years and early twenties dancing. For the rest of her years she spent writing poetry!! Some of her poetry were: Woman Work  and Remembrance

     I want her because she went through a lot and is a kind and caring person. She let all kids dance and most kids love it. She wrote amazing poetry and it was meaningful to. This is why I want Maya Angelou!!!
